The workshops are run by Lisa who is a practicing artist with a Masters in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins. She has been teaching one to one and giving workshops in art and animation for the past 8 years. She is permanently employed at The Bridge Academy and has ran courses and clubs in The Cartoon Museum, London, The New York Irish Arts Center as well as Lauriston Primary School in Hackney, Vicarage Primary School in Newham, Knightsbridge School in Kensington, Annemount School in Hampstead and Wetherby School Marylebone. She has a very flexible and inclusive approach to learning and believes that developing technical skills though creative subjects can be really fun and enriching for every child.

In this four day art and animation camp we will develop our drawing and painting skills as well as learning the basics of traditional stop frame animation. Participants will create their own narratives and plan their animations using storyboarding techniques. They will also learn a little about the history of hand drawn animation and look at inspiring artists and creators who make contemporary art. We will cover the concepts of timing and layout as well as learning how to use a digital camera to capture the frames. It will be a really creative, fun and engaging four days, and participants will walk away with numerous drawings, paintings and a copy of their finished animations.
